You cannot go wrong going to this site and you are going to learn a lot and be sure and participate in their forums.
Another great site is http://www.elance.com this is a site where you can find professionals of all kinds who can do jobs for you that you may want to outsource. Things like help building or setting up your website or advertising campaign, posting classified ads, building you followers on twitter, facebook etc, or search engine optimization. The sky is the limit and since they have professionals from all over the world in many cases you can find professionals who will do the job for you for a very reasonable price.
Another source I will mention today is www.alexa.com/
Let's say you have found a website you are considering advertising with, you can go to alexa and find out how high they are ranked as far as the amount of traffic they are getting. Let's face it if a company is ranked over 100,000 with #1 being the best and you can get the same banner or other advertising done on a site that is ranked below 20,000 for the same price that helps you determine the best bang for your dollar. This is a very useful site that you can gain a lot of information in making important decisions about doing business with certain sites based on their web traffic.
One that I really like is StumbleUpon.com as I have found I receive a lot of traffic from my submissions that I do to this site. You can go there and instal their tool and with one click you can submit your new blog posts, or you can find websites that are of interest to you. Do yourself a favor and go and install the stumbleupon tool and I think you will really like it as you can input the areas that interest you most and those are the sites you will be taken to by this toolbar. It is an excellent way to find the websites that fit your interests you will be amazed what does exist out there in cyberspace.
